Pentecost

Fifty days after Easter (Pente = five). A day that celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the followers of Jesus and made visible to all who believe in Jesus. Pentecost is often considered the birth of the church. (Pentecost is the Old Testament Feast of the First Fruits; in the Jewish tradition the celebration of the Torah). In some outlines of the Christian Year, the season of Pentecost lasts until the start of Advent.
