Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a conscious, deliberate decision of an individual or single group to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness. ... Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, nor does it mean condoning or excusing offenses.

Whereas forgiveness is the action of one person/group, reconciliation is the process by which all parties to a dispute build trust, learn to live cooperatively, and create a stable peace.  See Reconciliation.
